Since the implementation of the new regulations, as of August 7, 2024, 173 new ingredients have been filed. This indicates that the new risk classification management model for cosmetic ingredients has significantly accelerated the filing process for non-high-risk new ingredients. The introduction of a 3-year monitoring period shifts the responsibility for safety monitoring from the government to the registrant and filer, while also providing companies with a certain level of protection for their investments in technological innovation.
