The Ministry of Light Industry of the People's Republic of China was a department once established by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It was renamed from the former Ministry of Light Industry and eventually merged with other departments to form the Ministry of Light Industry again. During its existence, it was mainly responsible for the production and management of certain light industrial sectors in the country.
