Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM)

The Indonesian Food and Drug Administration (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan, abbreviated as BPOM) is a national agency directly under the leadership of the President of Indonesia. It is responsible for the regulation of food, drugs, traditional medicines, cosmetics, health products, and medical devices throughout the country. The primary mission of BPOM is to ensure that consumer products accessible to the public meet national standards in terms of safety, quality, and efficacy, thereby safeguarding public health.
