Interpretation of Information on New Cosmetic Ingredient
Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, a perennial herbaceous plant in the legume family (Fabaceae), is traditionally known in classical Chinese medicine as the “State Elder” (Guolao). It is believed to “neutralize hundreds of toxins, harmonize various medicines, and replenish Qi deficiency.” As a key ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formulations, it plays a crucial role in balancing medicinal properties and enhancing therapeutic efficacy.
Huarui Biotechnology utilizes enzyme-directed catalytic conversion technology to achieve an efficient and environmentally friendly transformation of glycyrrhizic acid into glycyrrhetinic acid glucuronide.
β-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (INCI name: Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, NMN) is a naturally occurring bioactive nucleotide composed of ribose, a nicotinamide moiety, and a phosphate group. NMN exists in two isomeric forms—α and β—with the β-form being the biologically active one. In the human body, β-NMN directly participates in the biosynthesis of the coenzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD⁺) and exerts its biological functions through NAD⁺.
