South Korea-Regulations on the Substantiation of Cosmetics Labeling and Advertising

The Regulation requires businesses to retain substantiating materials for factual claims made in cosmetics labeling and advertising—either results of human application tests or in vitro tests that satisfy scientific and reliability requirements, or representative survey results conducted by independent institutions—which must be directly relevant to the advertising content. The appended table further specifies the types of substantiating materials required for specific expressions such as "alleviation of skin aging."
