ASEAN-Government of Vietmam guiding the implementation of the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille Convention)

This decree serves as Vietnam's implementing instrument for the Apostille Convention. It establishes the domestic legal framework for Apostille application, stipulates that Apostille certificates may replace consular legalization, and sets detailed rules governing the issuance, verification of Apostilles as well as acceptance and use of apostilled public documents within Vietnam.
