On September 24, 2026, China’s National Institutes for Drug Control (NIDC) supplemented and refined information such as CAS numbers, structural formulas, molecular formulas, and molecular weights for 913 existing cosmetic ingredients, and is seeking public comments.
Cosmetic enterprises, ingredient enterprises, industry associations, research institutions, testing and inspection institutions, regulatory authorities, and other relevant entities are requested to log in to the “Information Platform for Existing Cosmetic Ingredients” to submit comments. The deadline for comments is November 25, 2026.
CIRS Reminder
Cosmetic companies concerned are advised to evaluate the refined information on existing cosmetic ingredients in light of their actual application. Comments may be submitted via the Information Platform for Existing Cosmetic Ingredients before the deadline of November 25, 2026. Once finalized, the information will serve as an important basis for enterprises to carry out formulation development, ingredient quality control, product registration and filing, and other work.
