The Canada Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist is an essential regulatory document developed and updated by Health Canada, serving as a reference for ingredients that are either prohibited or restricted in cosmetics sold in Canada. 

The Hotlist is divided into two distinct lists and the List of Ingredients that are Restricted for Use in Cosmetic Products is one of them. This list includes restricted ingredients that are permitted only if the conditions of use and/or cautionary statement(s) are met as outlined  which also specifies CAS Number (including but not limited to), Synonyms and Related Compounds (including but not limited to), Conditions of Use by Product Type, Maximum Concentration Permitted as well as Warnings and Cautionary Statements.
