The EU Endocrine Disruptor (ED) Assessment List is maintained by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and serves to include substances that are undergoing assessment for endocrine-disrupting properties. Since February 2013, any substance considered to have or potentially have endocrine-disrupting properties has been included in the list. As of the latest update date, 27 April 2026, the list contains a total of 138 unique substances/entries.

The list comprises substances that have been submitted to the ECHA Endocrine Disruptor Expert Group for discussion. These substances are undergoing an informal hazard assessment to determine whether they possess endocrine-disrupting characteristics. The outcome of the assessment may indicate that a substance does not have endocrine-disrupting properties; however, if the assessment concludes that a substance does have such properties, formal risk management and decision-making processes must be followed to confirm these characteristics before any regulatory actions can be taken based on these properties.

On May 18, 2026, the Australian Government issued a notification to include a chemical substance in the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals, in compliance with Section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.

On May 13, 2026, the Australian government issued a notice updating the chemical names of a batch of substances to their Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) names in accordance with Section 85 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019. These corrections do not change the identity of the chemical substances themselves.

Update to the China Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2026 Edition)-Inclusion of 35 Nonane Isomers under Entry No. 1728

On April 17, 2026, the Australian Government issued a notification to include a chemical substance in the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals, in compliance with Section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.

On April 16, 2026, the Ministry of Emergency Management, in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Health Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Railway Administration, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China, jointly issued Announcement No. 3 of 2026, deciding to incorporate five chemicals—3-Chloropropyne, 2-Iodoxybenzoic acid, 4-Nitrobenzyl 2-diazoacetoacetate, Methane sulfonyl azide, and 3-Methyl-2-nitrobenzoic acid—into the China Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals (2015).

This adjustment was made in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of its promulgation.
