Taiwan, China-List of colorants allowed in cosmetics

This list of Colorants in Cosmetic Products specifies the colorants used in cosmetics in Taiwan, including their permitted usage scope and restrictions. Periodically updated, the recent revision, comprising a total of 152 colorants for use in cosmetics, was released on September 29, 2020, and became effective as of July 1, 2021. The list includes four categories of colorants: Category 1: Colorants allowed in all cosmetic products Category 2: Colorants allowed in all cosmetic products except those intended to be applied in the vicinity of the eyes. Category 3: Colorants allowed exclusively in cosmetic products intended not to come into contact with the mucous membrances. Category 4: Colorants allowed exclusively in cosmetic products intended to come into contact only briefly with the skin.
